Takeoffs and Landings

I have to say that I am really excited to have found this site and am looking forward to getting more involved, and perhaps even applying to be an Ambassador once I have satisfied the prior requirements (1 month membership, etc).

Life here is pretty busy right now.  The semester is winding down and I will be relieved to be finished with this one.  I took eight classes this semester and it has proven to be a bit too much (22 credits).  This spring is my last semester and so by the fall I should have my first real teaching job.  I am so excited to get into my own classroom and start teaching.

Other than school, I have some projects I am working on.  I make a little art when I can and try to take lots of photos.  My friend, Sarah, and I run Wrong Number Distro together but it has been on a hiatus.  We're hoping to get it re-opened very soon.  My little garden in the backyard is doing well.  Hopefully the cool weather holds off long enough to harvest all the lettuce, and one last round of basil.  I recently joined a roller derby league and was made secretary of the organization and also put in charge of the website.  I've also been writing a lot more lately and my goal is to submit at least one short story for publication.

You know, in my *spare* time ;)
